Donepezil, a hexaoxpyridine oxide, is a second-generation specific reversible central acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor with little effect on peripheral AChE. Donepezil Hydrochloride CAS No.120011-70-3 slows down the decomposition of acetylcholine (ACh) in the synaptic cleft by inhibiting the activity of AChE, thereby increasing the content of ACh and improving the cognitive function of patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). The intensity of inhibiting acetylcholinesterase activity is 570 times that of butyrylcholinesterase, and Donepezil Hydrochloride has higher selectivity. Oral administration of 10 mg/kg can inhibit cholinesterase in the brain, and there is a dose-effect relationship.
