On March 19th, applause resounded in Yulin Longtan Industrial Park as the methotrexate project invested by Liaoning Jiaheshengshi Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jiaheshengshi") officially signed. Lin Boliang, Deputy Secretary of the Park Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee, Deputy Directors Dang Dongxian, Cheng Hao, and other leaders, as well as enterprise representatives including Yuan Qinglin, General Manager of Liaoning Jiaheshengshi Medical Technology Co., Ltd., attended the ceremony and witnessed the signing.
This marks the first project to enter the park since it was approved as a chemical industrial park. With a total investment of 400 million yuan and a planned land area of 100 mu, the project will have an annual production capacity of 120 tons of methotrexate upon full completion, achieving an annual output value of approximately 620 million yuan, annual tax revenue of about 93 million yuan, and providing over 330 jobs. The signing and settlement of the project are of great significance for Yulin City to further improve the regional pharmaceutical industry chain layout and accelerate the construction of a port-based chemical industry base radiating Guangxi and facing ASEAN.
Why Focus on Methotrexate?
As a science and technology-based enterprise, a "specialized, refined, unique, and innovative" enterprise, and a "gazelle enterprise" in Liaoning Province, Jiaheshengshi is China's largest manufacturer of chlorhexidine and the only domestic enterprise capable of researching and producing all intermediate APIs for the anticancer drug methotrexate (MTX). As one of the core drugs for clinical treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases, the project has broad market prospects and good social and economic benefits. Relying on the port terminal in Yulin, it can quickly connect to the ASEAN and "Belt and Road" international markets.
Three Strategic Significances of the Project's Settlement
1. Building a Regional Biomedical Industry Cluster: Upon completion, the project will further improve the regional pharmaceutical industry chain layout in Yulin City and attract upstream and downstream enterprises to gather.
2. Activating a New "China-ASEAN" Pharmaceutical Trade Corridor: Relying on the park's "sea-rail intermodal transport" system, it can directly access foreign markets through Yulin Port.
3. Establishing a Low-Carbon Benchmark for Chemical Parks: Relying on the integrated energy security system of wind, solar, nuclear, and computational resources in the chemical park, the project will focus on introducing fine chemical industry enterprises such as chlor-alkali, pharmaceutical intermediates, and food additives, striving to build a modern port-based chemical industry base.
"Nanny-Style Services" Escort the Project's Implementation
After the signing ceremony, the park immediately convened a meeting of the "Project Tackling Special Team," where functional departments and the enterprise held in-depth discussions on project advancement, construction commencement, and industrial chain extension.
Lin Boliang stated that as a milestone project for the park's development of green chemical industry, the park will adhere to the principles of "most efficient approval, highest-quality supporting facilities, and most considerate services" to fully ensure the project's rapid certification, commissioning, and effectiveness. With Jiaheshengshi's innovative technological advantages and the park's industrial agglomeration resources, the two sides will surely achieve a "1+1>2" synergistic effect, setting a new benchmark for the landing of follow-up industrial chain projects.
