| Usage | 1. Nutritional Fortification and Supplementation As a key nutritional fortifier, it can be added to grains, pastries, and dairy products to make up for the threonine deficiency in cereal proteins (second only to lysine). Although threonine content in cereal proteins is relatively high, it is difficult to hydrolyze due to its combination with peptides, so additional supplementation is required to promote digestion and absorption. - It can improve nutrition and physical fitness, and has the effects of relieving human fatigue and promoting growth and development. Its deficiency may lead to loss of appetite, weight loss, and impaired bone development. 2. Pharmaceutical Applications As an amino acid nutritional drug/medication, it is mainly used in the treatment of anemia, and can also be used to prepare amino acid infusions and comprehensive amino acid preparations. Due to the hydroxyl group in its structure, it has a moisture-retaining effect on human skin. When combined with oligosaccharide chains, it plays an important role in protecting cell membranes, and can promote phospholipid synthesis and fatty acid oxidation in the body. Its deficiency may also cause fatty liver, testicular atrophy, and changes in the chromaticity of anterior pituitary cells. 3. Scientific Research Field It is used in biochemical research to provide support for relevant scientific experiments. |
