As of press time, the open flame at the accident site has been extinguished, and the fire department is cooling the scene.
Maoming Petrochemical Company reported that two employees were slightly injured at the scene of the accident and have been sent to the hospital for treatment. The fire accident did not affect the environment.
It is understood that after a dangerous situation occurred in the caustic washing tower in the front section of the butadiene rubber plant of the Maoming Petrochemical Company's chemical branch, Maoming Petrochemical Company and Maoming City quickly launched an emergency response plan, established an on-site rescue headquarters, dispatched fire and gas defense vehicles, and organized fire fighting.
