From the video taken by witnesses, it can be seen that thick smoke is billowing in the accident factory area, and fireballs produced by deflagration can be seen, accompanied by a huge explosion.
As of 19:46, the open flame at the scene had been completely extinguished. There were fire water guns on the scene to continuously spray water to cool the accident area. The deflagration area will not reignite, and the air still smells pungent and pungent. The accident was not caused. Casualties have not caused pollution to the surrounding environment after testing by the environmental protection department.

Subsequently, the official Weibo of "Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical Company" issued a number of Weibo to track the fire emergency: "The fire at the scene was extinguished at 19:46, and no casualties were confirmed. At 19:50, the emergency response was confirmed by the on-site headquarters. ". The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
It is reported that the butadiene device that caught fire this time mainly produces butadiene rubber.
Butadiene rubber is the second largest synthetic rubber after styrene butadiene rubber. It is suitable for the manufacture of automobile tires and cold-resistant products, as well as cushioning materials and various rubber shoes, tapes, tapes and sponge rubber.

On the whole, the unexpected situation of the butadiene plant of Yangzi Petrochemical will adversely affect the production of the factory and the supply and deployment of Sinopec’s butadiene supply.
