Sinopec New Network News Shunbei 55X Well affiliated to Sinopec Northwest Oilfield completed a drilling depth of 8725 meters, setting the deepest record of onshore directional wells in Asia, marking my country's leading international ultra-deep well drilling technology.

Shunbei oil and gas field is located at the junction of Aksu and Korla regions in Xinjiang. The average depth of the reservoir is more than 8,000 meters. It is the deepest oil and gas field on the land in Asia. It has the characteristics of ultra-deep, ultra-high pressure and ultra-high temperature. In directional wells with a depth of 8000 meters, there are some difficulties in drilling, such as lack of tools and difficulty in controlling the trajectory of the borehole. After repeated trials and innovations, Sinopec Northwest Oilfield has formed ultra-deep horizontal well drilling technology, which is equivalent to installing a precise navigation system on the drill bit to achieve "accurate medium target" in the 8,000-meter underground three-dimensional space.

It is understood that as of June 30, Shunbei Oil and Gas Field has produced a total of 2.067 million tons of crude oil and 625 million cubic meters of natural gas. Currently, it produces 2773.8 tons of crude oil and 964,300 cubic meters of natural gas.
