On August 14, Inner Mongolia Dongri New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. started the foundation stone laying of the 1.25 million tons/year coal-based line new energy materials and supporting projects in Inner Mongolia Etuoke Economic Development Zone.
It is understood that the project uses the abundant coal tar resources around the Etuoke Economic Development Zone in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region as the raw material base, and further enhances the economic added value of regional coal and tar by-products through deep processing. After the completion of all projects, a complete industry chain of coal-coal tar-coal pitch-coal needle coke-ultra-high power graphite electrode and lithium battery anode material will be formed; coal-coal tar-activated carbon material industry chain; coal-coke oven gas —LNG—Synthetic ammonia industry chain. The total investment of the project is 12.4 billion yuan, of which the first phase investment is 6.8 billion yuan. It is planned to build a 400,000 tons/year coal tar deep processing project, a 100,000 tons/year coal-based needle coke project, and a 100,000 tons/year high-end lithium ion battery anode material project.
