On the morning of November 26, following the smooth commissioning of Tianjin Petrochemical's refining product structure adjustment and quality upgrading and transformation project, its 200,000 tons/year polypropylene plant was successfully delivered.
It is understood that the 200,000-ton/year polypropylene plant adopts Sinopec's third-generation loop-pipe polypropylene process technology. This technology combines the newly developed asymmetric external electron donor technology and propylene-butyl binary random copolymerization technology with the second-generation ST technology to produce market-competitive asymmetric products and propylene-butylene copolymer product grades. The device is provided by SEI with a complete set of technology and engineering design, and Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry provides a production process package for catalysts and special new products.
The device is built in the plant area of the Olefin Division of Tianjin Petrochemical Corporation. It is Tianjin Petrochemical's own land and does not require additional land acquisition. The required public works and auxiliary facilities partly rely on the existing facilities of the Olefin Department, with a total investment of about 620 million yuan.
After the installation is completed and put into operation, it can meet the deep processing of propylene products that are increased by 15 million tons of oil refining projects, which can effectively improve the overall economic benefits of Tianjin Petrochemical.
