The latest statistics released by the National Customs show that in April, my country exported 2.97 million tons of chemical fertilizers, a year-on-year increase of 46.3% and a month-on-month increase of 10.4%. From January to April, a total of 9.18 million tons of chemical fertilizers were exported, a year-on-year increase of 23.6%; the cumulative export value was US$2.53 billion, a year-on-year increase of 60.1%.
From the perspective of the main export fertilizers, both nitrogen and phosphate fertilizers have shown positive growth, and the export status is good. In April, my country exported a total of 540,000 tons of urea, an increase of 382.1% year-on-year, mainly due to the large amount of bids that my country won in India's urea bidding; from January to April, a total of 1.34 million tons of urea was exported, an increase of 23.6% year-on-year. In April, my country exported 920,000 tons of ammonium sulfate, a year-on-year increase of 25.3%; from January to April, China exported 3.08 million tons of ammonium sulfate, a year-on-year increase of 24.7%. In April, my country exported a total of 370,000 tons of monoammonium phosphate, a year-on-year increase of 96.8%; from January to April, the cumulative export of monoammonium phosphate was 960,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 24.1%. In April, my country exported 450,000 tons of diammonium phosphate, a year-on-year increase of 13.4%; from January to April, China exported 1.37 million tons of diammonium phosphate, a year-on-year increase of 13.8%.
In terms of imports, my country imported 1.08 million tons of chemical fertilizers in April, a year-on-year increase of 25.6% and a month-on-month decrease of 15%; cumulative imports amounted to US$1.02 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 6.7%. Among them, potassium chloride ranked first in imports. In April, a total of 930,000 tons were imported, a year-on-year increase of 24.7%; the cumulative import volume from January to April was 3.49 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 20.8%.
