On the evening of November 2, Rongsheng Petrochemical issued an announcement stating that the company’s holding subsidiary Zhejiang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. invested in the construction of the "40 million tons/year refining and chemical integration project" in the Zhoushan Green Petrochemical Base. Production is progressing smoothly, the start-up load has steadily increased, and profitability has gradually increased.
At present, the second phase of the project has also completed the construction, equipment installation and commissioning and other preliminary work, and the relevant equipment has been put into operation. The company has now put the first batch of installations (atmospheric and vacuum and related utilities installations, etc.) into operation on November 1, according to actual progress.
The project is located in the supporting service terminal area of the Zhoushan Green Petrochemical Base in Daishan Port District, Ningbo Zhoushan Port, Zhejiang Province. The construction scale of the first phase is 2 50,000-ton multi-purpose berths with a berth length of 810 meters. The designed annual throughput capacity is 3.59 million tons, including 240,000 TEU containers; 6 50,000-ton liquid chemical and oil berths. The length of the berth is 1,650 meters, of which the hydraulic structure of berth 6 is designed and built according to the berthing 100,000-ton oil tanker, with a designed annual throughput of 18.85 million tons; 3 20,000-ton bulk cargo berths, and the hydraulic structure is berthing 50,000 tons Class bulk carrier is designed and built, with 1 10,000-ton bulk berth and 1 3,000-ton bulk berth. The total length of the berth is 1,300 meters and the designed annual throughput capacity is 9.95 million tons.

The announcement shows that Zhejiang Petrochemical's 40 million tons/year integrated refining and chemical project is a key project in Zhejiang Province. The total scale is 40 million tons/year of oil refining, 8 million tons/year of p-xylene, 2.8 million tons/year of ethylene, and an investment of up to 173 billion yuan.
