Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission issued the "14th Five-Year Plan" to promote the implementation of high-quality construction of new land-sea corridors in the west (hereinafter referred to as the "plan"). The "Plan" pointed out that by 2025, a new economic, efficient, convenient, green and safe land-sea channel in the west will be basically completed. In terms of strengthening the functions of key hubs, the "Plan" emphatically proposes to build an international container hub port in the Yangpu region of Hainan.
In the first half of 2021, Yangpu Port completed a container throughput of 565,000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 56.7%. The number of internationally registered ships with "China Yangpu Port" as the home port has grown from scratch, and has reached a total of 28 ships, and the effect of the bonded fuel supply center of Yangpu Port has continued to play out.
The "Plan" pointed out that to build an international container hub port in the Yangpu region of Hainan. Efforts will be made to improve the level of Yangpu Port's container terminals and waterway levels, accelerate the improvement of the collection and distribution system, enhance the function of Yangpu Port's international transit business, promote the integration of public terminal resources, and improve Yangpu's international logistics and cold chain logistics facilities. To expand and strengthen the Hainan International Ship Registration Center, take the ship financial leasing business as a breakthrough, and improve the comprehensive shipping financial services. Give full play to the role of the bonded fuel supply center of Yangpu Port, do a good job in the supply of bonded fuel for ships on international voyages, and improve the policy of bonded fuel for domestic and foreign trade on the same ship.
The key projects of Yangpu Port include: construction of Xiaochantan wharf expansion project, Beigang District general berth, Beigang District public waterway project and industrial park, construction of Yangpu SDIC 50,000-ton public liquefied hydrocarbon terminal, SDIC 100,000-ton public Grain and oil terminal, construction of the petrochemical new material base public oil chemical terminal, implementation of Hainan Yisheng Yangpu Liangang Port Petrochemical Logistics Park terminal reconstruction and expansion, promotion of the Yangpu port area channel reconstruction and expansion, construction of Yangpu railway branch, Shugang expressway and Yangpu International Logistics Park.
