Fujian Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd. revealed at a press conference held in Fuzhou on September 1 that the petrochemical base has introduced the world chemical giant-Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), a joint venture and joint venture to build the Zhongsha Gulei ethylene project. .
The Zhongsha Gulei ethylene project will be constructed at the Fujian Gulei petrochemical base with a total investment of more than 40 billion yuan. Its annual output of 1.5 million tons of ethylene plant is currently the world's largest, and it has also introduced a number of core technologies to fill the gap in the industry.
At present, SABIC, Fujian Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd., and Zhangzhou City have formally signed a tripartite investment agreement, and are accelerating the completion of the negotiation of the relevant business agreement.
The industry believes that the successful introduction of the project will help the Gulei Petrochemical Park to extend the industrial chain and form industrial clusters, to continuously improve and strengthen the Fujian petrochemical industry, to enhance the development level and competitiveness, and to promote the development of Fujian Province in all aspects. Quality development is of vital importance.
Fujian is located in the southeastern coast of China. Over the years, it has promoted the docking of the petrochemical industry between Fujian and Taiwan, and laid out two national petrochemical bases in Meizhou Bay and Gulei, and has formed a petrochemical industrial cluster with a certain scale and strength. The Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently reviewed and approved the development plan for the Meizhou Bay Petrochemical Base. According to the plan, by 2030, the refining scale of the Meizhou Bay Petrochemical Base will reach 62 million tons/year, the ethylene scale will reach 6.3 million tons/year, and the aromatics scale will reach 7 million tons/year.
