Our Country Continues To Impose Anti-dumping Duties On Acetone, Involving LG Chemical, Mitsui, Kumho And Other Chemical Companies

Since June 8, 2020, anti-dumping duties will continue to be imposed on imported acetone originating in Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan, with a five-year implementation period.

On June 7, 2019, the Ministry of Commerce issued Announcement No. 25 of 2019, deciding to conduct a final review of anti-dumping measures applicable to imported acetone originating in Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan from June 8, 2019 survey.

Based on the investigation results, and in accordance with Article 48 of the Anti-Dumping egulations of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the "Anti-Dumping Regulations"), the Ministry of Commerce made a review decision. Relevant matters are announced as follows:


Specific content of acetone anti-dumping:


The scope of products subject to anti-dumping duties is the same as those announced in the Ministry of Commerce Announcement No. 40 in 2008, Announcement No. 54 in 2010 and Announcement No. 40 in 2014, as follows:

The Chinese name of the product under investigation: acetone (also known as dimethyl ketone, dimethyl ketone for short, or acetone, xylone).


English name: Acetone, Dimethyl ketone or 2-Propanone.

The product is included in the "People's Republic of China Import and Export Tariff": 29141100.

The tax rate for the continued collection of anti-dumping duties is the same as the regulations of the Ministry of Commerce Announcement No. 40 of 2008, Announcement No. 54 of 2010 and Announcement No. 40 of 2014, as follows:

During this review investigation, Changchun Artificial Resin Factory Co., Ltd. continued to submit price commitments. During the execution of the price commitment, the products under investigation imported from Changchun Artificial Resin Factory Co., Ltd. are not subject to anti-dumping duties. If there is a violation of price commitments or other termination of price commitments, anti-dumping duties will be imposed on the company according to the dumping margin (9.4%) determined by Announcement No. 40 of 2008.

China's anti-dumping of acetone originated on June 8, 2008. The Ministry of Commerce issued Announcement No. 40, deciding to implement final anti-dumping measures against imported acetone originating in Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan. 5 years from 9th.

On September 9, 2010, the Ministry of Commerce issued Announcement No. 54 and decided to adjust the anti-dumping tax rate for acetone imported from Korea’s Kumho P&B Chemical Co., Ltd.

On June 6, 2014, the Ministry of Commerce issued Announcement No. 40, deciding to extend the implementation of this anti-dumping measure, with an implementation period of five years from June 8, 2014.
