Russian PVC producers are seeking to substantially increase their shipment prices in May, as record global prices have affected the country’s domestic market.
Since the middle of last year, high prices have been putting pressure on the Russian market. Manufacturers have announced a target increase of 10,000 rubles/ton (111 Euro/ton) and above.
Russian export prices are still strong, while prices in the domestic market dropped significantly in April.
The current export price is between 132,000 rubles/ton FCA, including taxes, depending on the destination. This price level has a great impact on domestic pricing.
Tight supply and complex logistics have also contributed to the current market dynamics.
The scope of discussion on the transaction price of Russian K64/67 PVC is also very wide. The current price is 135-150,000 rubles/ton CPT Moscow, including taxes, and the quantity does not exceed 500 tons, while the price in March is 121,500 rubles/ton, including taxes.
