On April 17, Sinopec’s first PTA project with an annual output of 3 million tons held a groundbreaking ceremony at Yizheng Chemical Fiber Company. The project adopts advanced energy-saving, environmental protection and short-process technology routes, and is planned to be completed and put into operation in the first half of 2023.
The 3 million tons of annual output PTA project constructed by Sinopec in Yizheng Chemical Fiber has the advantages of large-scale monomer equipment, green and low-carbon, and is conducive to the implementation of the two existing PTA devices (total capacity of 1 million tons) of Yizheng Chemical Fiber. "Cage to change birds", realize green and low-carbon development, enhance the supporting capacity of Yizheng chemical fiber polyester raw materials, and accelerate the promotion of subsequent new material projects such as smart fibers and biodegradable plastics.
