TCPP, whose scientific names are triphosphate, trichloropropyl phosphate, phosphate, etc., is soluble in organic solvents such as alcohol, benzene, ester, carbon tetrachloride, etc., but insoluble in water and aliphatic hydrocarbon. Due to the two elements of phosphorus and chlorine in the molecule, the flame retardant effect is remarkable, and it has the functions of plasticizing, moisture-proof and antistatic, so it is an additive flame retardant.
There are few production steps of TCPP, and the process is relatively simple. However, due to the high activity of propylene oxide, the raw material of TCPP, which is easy to explode, there are very strict requirements on the approval of safety and environmental protection.
Futong Chemical Co., Ltd. and Taizhou ruishite new materials Co., Ltd. are large-scale TCPP production enterprises in China, with production capacity ranking the third and fourth in the industry, both ranking Taizhou, Jiangsu Province. It is reported that the production capacity of TCPP (triphosphate) of the two enterprises is about 65000 tons / year, accounting for about 30% of the total domestic production capacity and about 25% of the global total production capacity.
At present, the global capacity of TCPP is about 260000 tons, and the capacity of Chinese enterprises accounts for about 80%. Among the major TCPP production enterprises in the world, the top five enterprises are Wansheng (603010), Chenhua (300610), Xin'an (600596), Xingfa group (600141) and Yake Technology (002409), with production capacity of 46000 T / A, 40000 t / A, 35000 T / A, 30000 T / a and 30000 T / a respectively.
In addition, industry insiders said that the shutdown of Futong chemical and Richter TCPP production units is bound to reduce the demand of TCPP production enterprises for raw material propylene oxide, which will be affected by the surge in propylene oxide in the early stage.
The price of propylene oxide has risen sharply due to tight supply and demand. Since June 30, the increase has exceeded 60%, and reached a new high since 2011.
