Recently, Satellite Petrochemical announced that on May 20, the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Lianyungang Petrochemical Co., Ltd., had an annual output of 1.35 million tons of PE, 2.19 million tons of EOE and 260,000 tons of ACN combined plant. Since then, qualified products have been successfully produced, and the production operation has been stable, marking the first-stage start-up of the Lianyungang Petrochemical Project.
Lianyungang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhejiang Satellite Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as: Satellite Petrochemical). According to the environmental assessment documents of the project in December 2018, the total investment of the project was 3,253.26 million yuan, of which environmental protection investment was 1,837.7 million yuan, and environmental protection investment accounted for 5.6% of the total investment; area: the project covers an area of 193.33 hectares.
The project was implemented in two phases.
The main production units of the first stage include light hydrocarbon cracking unit (light hydrocarbon cracking unit, butadiene extraction unit, aromatics extraction unit), HDPE unit, LLDPE unit, EO/EG unit.
The main production units of the second stage include light hydrocarbon cracking unit, LDPE unit, EO/EG unit, and acrylonitrile combined unit. Among them, the light hydrocarbon cracking unit includes a 1.25 million tons/year young hydrocarbon cracking unit, a 60,000 tons/year butadiene extraction unit, and a 60,000 tons/year aromatic extraction unit; the main products of the EO/EG unit are 100,000 tons/year Annual EO and 792,100 tons/year EG; LLDPE plant's main product is 500,000 tons/year linear low-density polyethylene; HDPE plant's main product is 400,000 tons/year high-density polyethylene.
