The results of the fifth batch of nationally organized centralized drug procurement were announced today, and the burden of drugs on patients will be further reduced.
CCTV reporter Zheng Yizhe: Today (June 23), the fifth batch of nationally organized centralized drug purchases in Shanghai produced the proposed results. Sixty-one varieties were collected successfully, half of the number of injections, 201 participating companies, of which 10 foreign companies were successfully selected. The scale of centralized procurement, purchase amount, and number of participating companies are the largest.
61 varieties have an average price reduction of 56% to cover a variety of common and serious diseases
This collection of varieties covers common diseases such as hypertension, anti-allergic, anti-infection, chronic disease drugs, and lung cancer and other major diseases, with an average price reduction of 56%.
In terms of commonly used drugs, taking the acute gastric ulcer treatment drug esomeprazole injection as an example, the price has dropped from 65 yuan per tube to about 4 yuan per tube, and a treatment cycle can save 610 yuan in drug costs. The price of the new-generation diabetes drug saxagliptin has been reduced by 62%, and the monthly cost has been reduced from 225 yuan to less than 90 yuan.
The burden of drug costs for major diseases will also be reduced. For example, the price of oxaliplatin injection from Sanofi, a first-line treatment drug for colon cancer, dropped from 1760 yuan per tube to 310.51 yuan per tube, and a 6-month treatment plan could save about 50,000 yuan. The number of foreign companies participating in the centralized procurement of medicines this time also exceeded previous times. An injection from a German pharmaceutical company is a self-funded product with an original price of more than 400 yuan. The bid price this time is 113.91 yuan, a price drop of more than 70%.
Reduce the abuse of cephalosporin antibacterial drugs with an average price reduction of 75%
In addition, the price of cephalosporin antibacterial drugs in the hardest-hit areas has dropped by an average of 75%. The four cephalosporin species selected this time are cefazolin, cefuroxime, ceftriaxone and ceftazidime, all of which are widely used clinically.
Ding Yilei, Director of the Department of Medical Price and Bidding and Purchasing of the National Medical Security Administration: Antibiotics have the problem of inflated drug prices and abuse. Through centralized procurement, we can squeeze out the excessively high price of antibiotics. On the other hand, we appropriately reduce the proportion of antibiotics when we concentrate the dosage, and prevent abuse in actual use.
