It is reported that the Tianjin Bohua "Two Chemicals" relocation and transformation project settled in Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone has entered the final stage of construction. It is expected to achieve full delivery in August and fully put into operation by the end of the year.

  

According to reports, the "Two Chemicals" relocation project involves two companies, both of which belong to the Bohua Group. One is Tianjin Botian Chemical Co., Ltd. (formerly Tianjin Chemical Plant), which was founded in 1938 and is a large-scale national chlor-alkali chemical enterprise. Located in Hangu, Tianjin Binhai New Area; the other is Tianjin Dagu Chemical Co., Ltd., founded in 1939, is a comprehensive large-scale chlor-alkali petrochemical enterprise integrating marine chemical and petrochemicals, located in Tanggu, Tianjin Binhai New Area. The project was filed on February 3, 2016, with a total investment of 29.4 billion yuan. The "Industrialization and Industrialization" relocation and transformation project is of great significance. After its completion, it will help promote energy conservation, emission reduction and environmental improvement, promote structural adjustment and transformation and upgrading, and optimize urban space and industrial layout.


The first phase of the "Two Chemicals" relocation project includes 600,000 tons/year caustic soda plant, 800,000 tons/year vinyl chloride plant, 800,000 tons/year polyvinyl chloride plant, 100,000 tons/year hydrogen peroxide plant, and 300,000 tons/year Polypropylene unit, 200,000 tons/year propylene oxide co-production 450,000 tons/year styrene unit, 1.8 million tons/year methanol-to-olefin unit, and supporting utilities, self-use tank farms, special tank farms, docks, 220KV stations , Production management area and other content.


The project can achieve major technological upgrades, eliminate the original high-energy-consumption and high-polluting process routes such as calcium carbide process PVC and chlorohydrin propylene oxide, and adopt green and efficient process technology and intelligent management and control methods, which will realize Energy consumption per output value decreased by 27%, wastewater emission reduction by 65%, COD emission reduction by 92%, nitrogen oxide emission reduction by 98%, and sulfur dioxide emission reduction by 99%.
