According to the PetroChina News Center, on the 30th, the mid-handover ceremony of Daqing Petrochemical's refining structure adjustment, transformation and upgrading project was held at the 3.5 million tons/year atmospheric and vacuum unit.
At this point, the project has completed 12 sets of installations and 29 supporting public works and auxiliary facilities, and Daqing Petrochemical has officially entered the ranks of 10 million-ton-level refining and chemical integration enterprises.
Daqing Petrochemical refining structure adjustment, transformation and upgrading project has a total investment of 4.447 billion yuan, mainly including:
Build a new 2 million tons/year catalytic cracking unit
Newly built 600,000 tons/year gas fractionation unit
Newly build two sets of 20,000 tons/year sulfur recovery unit (100 tons/hour sour water stripping unit, 200 tons/hour solvent regeneration unit)
3.5 million tons/year atmospheric and vacuum plant renovation
1.2 million tons/year hydrorefining equipment transformation and other process equipment and supporting public works and auxiliary facilities new construction and transformation
The project adopts the self-management mode of the construction unit. Daqing Petrochemical optimized the construction technology plan, fully implemented prefabrication, on-site assembly, construction mechanization and pre-inspection, pre-cleaning, pre-adjustment, pre-assembly, and pre-pressure management to reduce the amount of on-site work and shorten the construction period.
After the project is put into operation, the actual processing volume of Daqing Petrochemical crude oil will reach 10 million tons, which can provide downstream enterprises with more basic chemical raw materials such as propylene, liquid hydrocarbons, toluene, and xylene each year.
In March 2018, Daqing Petrochemical's oil refining structure adjustment, transformation and upgrading project was included in the national "Petrochemical Industry Planning and Layout Plan". Construction officially started on July 7 of the same year and is expected to be completed in October 2020.
Today, this large-scale project of "10 million tons of oil refining and one million tons of ethylene" has been completed ahead of schedule and will become the backbone of Daqing's construction of a national petrochemical industrial base in the future.
