Tadalafil CAS NO.171596-29-5 is a selective reversible inhibitor of cyclic guanosine phosphate (CGMP) specific phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5). When sexual stimulation leads to local release of nitric oxide, PDE5 is inhibited by tadalafil, which increases cGMP level in penile sponges, which leads to relaxation of smooth muscle, blood flow into penile tissue, resulting in erection, such as asexual stimulation.
