On October 24, the Russian product oil tanker "GENERAL HAZI ASLANOV" sailed from the anchorage at Kavkaz port in the Black Sea to Rostov-on-Don, Russia. It caught fire in the Azov Sea. Then the oil vapor on the tanker caused an explosion, causing 3 crew members. Missing.


According to local Russian media reports, there were 13 crew members on board, 10 crew members were successfully rescued, and 3 crew members were thrown out of the sea due to the explosion and disappeared.


On October 25, the Sea and River Transportation Agency of the Russian Federation stated to the Satellite News Agency that the Azov tanker explosion did not cause fuel or petroleum product leakage, and no oil pollution occurred in the waters.


At present, the tanker has been towed to the berth in the Caucasus port area, but the search and rescue work for the three missing crew members continues.
