Domestic ECMO products have started to target the global market and actively participate in international competition. Hanno Medical, as a representative of China's high-end medical device enterprises, presented its heavyweight product, Hanno Lifemotion ECMO system, at the 11th European Extracorporeal Life Support Organization Annual Conference held in Lisbon, Portugal, and received attention from clinical experts at home and abroad as well as international peers.
At the beginning of January this year, the State Food and Drug Administration approved the registration application of Shenzhen Hannuo Medical Technology Co., Ltd. for extracorporeal cardiopulmonary support auxiliary equipment and disposable membrane oxygenator kits, marking the localization of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation treatment (ECMO, commonly known as "artificial heart lung machine") products.
ECMO is an extracorporeal life support technology that can provide long-term respiratory and circulatory support for patients with heart and lung failure, allowing the heart and lungs to rest and achieve functional recovery. It provides valuable time for critical illness rescue and is currently the core support method for severe heart and lung failure.
It is reported that Hanno Medical held a special forum for the first time during the above-mentioned annual conference. Among them, Roberto Lorusso, founder of the European Extracorporeal Life Support Organization, elaborated and recommended multiple system innovations such as the easy operation and portable design, intelligent real-time monitoring system, and high safety components of the Hanno product.
In the final discussion session of the symposium, multiple clinical experts from several leading ECMO treatment centers in China, including Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, Beijing Anzhen Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University, Zhongshan Hospital affiliated with Fudan University, and Wuhan Asian Heart Hospital, participated in the discussion and expressed that the future development of ECMO technology and domestic equipment will continue to be in line with international standards.
With the gradual improvement of ECMO treatment level and the promotion and application of domestic ECMO equipment, a high standard and standardized ECMO application and training certification system will become a necessary condition for industry development.
The person in charge of Hanno Medical stated that it will continue to promote clinical application training through simulation training systems, with the goal of shortening the training cycle for mastering ECMO technology, improving the safety of various operations in clinical application, providing solutions for scenario based training of cross departmental and multi team ECMO joint applications, and promoting comprehensive domestic innovation in China's three high-risk extracorporeal life support technologies.
