East China Energy Regulatory Bureau Actively Provides Licensing Services For Incremental Power Distribution Projects

In order to implement the relevant arrangements of the National Energy Administration on the pilot work of incremental power distribution business reform, the East China Energy Regulatory Bureau actively promotes various work on the reform of the electricity sales side. Recently, the East China Energy Regulatory Bureau issued power supply business licenses to two power sales companies that have the right to operate the incremental power distribution network, which further promoted the pilot incremental power distribution reform.


The two pilot projects that have been granted the power business license this time are the incremental power distribution business pilot in the Huainan High-tech Zone (Shannan New District) and the Anhui (Huaibei) new coal chemical synthetic material base, which belong to the third and fourth batches of incremental in Anhui Province, respectively. In order to do a good job in the issuance of pilot licenses for incremental power distribution business within its jurisdiction, the East China Energy Regulatory Bureau tracked the pilot projects one by one, proactively contacted service companies, and actively publicized and implemented relevant policies for power business license applications, especially the National Energy Administration for incremental power distribution. The pilot business simplified and optimized the licensing regulations, conducted several in-depth on-site field investigations, provided green channels for incremental power distribution companies in licensing acceptance and review, and accelerated the issuance of licenses.


In the next step, the East China Energy Regulatory Bureau will continue to track the incremental power distribution business pilot companies, do a good job in the issuance of licenses, strengthen the in-process and ex-post supervision of the licensed companies, and further play the role of energy supervision in promoting the reform of the power system.
