Affected by the sharp increase in bisphenol A, some PC manufacturers have substantially increased their ex-factory prices, and the domestic PC market has generally followed the rise:
On August 26, the listing of Lihua Yiweiyuan PC was suspended, and the sales price was raised by 500 yuan/ton from last week. The manufacturer's current spot supply is small, and the main supply is for long-term customers;
On August 25, Luxi Chemical’s PC ex-factory listing price was raised by 100 yuan/ton, and the manufacturer’s inventory was extremely low;
On August 24, Shanghai Covestro raised its ex-factory price by 800 yuan/ton, and the current price is 27,800 yuan/ton;
On August 24, China Blue State Plastics raised its ex-factory price by RMB 500/ton, and the current price is RMB 29,300/ton;
On August 24, Jiaxing Emperor raised the ex-factory price by 400 yuan/ton, and the current price is 30,500 yuan/ton;
On August 23, Wanhua Chemical raised its ex-factory price by 1,300 yuan/ton, entering the 30,000 era again;
On August 23, Ningbo Zhejiang Railway Gale raised its ex-factory price by 500 yuan/ton, and the current price is 29,300 yuan/ton.
In addition, due to tight spot supply from manufacturers, Shanghai Mitsubishi, Cangzhou Dahua, and Taihua Idemitsu have all suspended their quotations.
The mainstream price of epoxy resin breaks 30,000
As of August 26, the mainstream price of solid resin has already exceeded 30,000 yuan/ton. Recently, the leading domestic liquid epoxy resin companies have all increased their quotations by varying degrees:
Kunshan Nanya's 248,000-ton/year plant is operating normally, and E-51 is quoted at 36,000 yuan/ton for delivery in barrels, and the inventory is low;
The Changshu Changchun 100,000-ton/year plant is operating normally, and the current price of epoxy resin E-51 is 35,000 yuan/ton for bulk water leaving the factory, and the ex-factory price for barrels is 35,800 yuan/ton;
Yangnong Kumho’s 170,000-ton/year device is operating at low load, the new order E-51 quotes 35,000 yuan/ton for clean water delivery, and the ex-factory price for barrels is 35,700 yuan/ton;
Nantong Xingchen's 160,000-ton/year unit is running smoothly (planning to expand the production of 25,000 tons of basic epoxy resin), liquid epoxy resin E-51 is quoted at 35,200 yuan/ton for water purification, and the ex-factory price for barrels is 35,800 yuan/ton;
Jiangsu Sanmu’s 200,000-ton/year plant is operating normally, the new E-51 price is 35,000 yuan/ton of purified water, and the barreled factory is 35,500 yuan/ton;
The 155,000-ton/year plant of Hongchang Electronics Zhuhai Plant is operating normally, and the new order E-51 is reported to be 36,000 yuan/ton and delivered to South China in barrels;
Baling Petrochemical's 90,000-ton/year liquid plant is operating normally, and E-51 offers 35,000 yuan/ton of purified water to leave the factory.
The re-launch of environmental protection inspectors may help the bisphenol A market continue to rise
According to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, with the approval of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, on August 25, the second round of the fourth batch of central ecological and environmental protection inspections was fully launched.
This time, the inspectors formed 7 central ecological and environmental protection inspection teams, which were conducted in the 5 provinces of Jilin, Shandong, Hubei, Guangdong, and Sichuan, and the two central enterprises of China Nonferrous Mining Group Co., Ltd. and China National Gold Group Co., Ltd. for a period of about 1 Inspectors of the month are stationed at work.
It is reported that the inspectors will focus on major national strategic ecological environmental protection requirements such as the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin. Guangdong, Shandong, and the Yangtze River Economic Belt are gathering places for the plastics and chemical industries. Bisphenol A is very likely to lead the epoxy resin industry "back to the peak"
The current price of bisphenol A is not far from the "sky price" of 30,000 yuan/ton in mid-April. If the high price in the first quarter is a natural disaster, the current high price may be more of a "man-made disaster". In view of the industry peak season in September/October, the environmental protection inspection has been launched again, and the maintenance plan for phenol ketone/bisphenol A devices at home and abroad, bisphenol A is very likely to lead the epoxy resin industry to "return to the peak" again.
