German Industrial New Orders Increase Month-on-month For Six Consecutive Months

According to data released by the German Federal Statistical Office on December 4th, after adjustments in prices, seasons and working days, new orders for German industry in October this year increased 1.8% year-on-year and 2.9% month-on-month, marking the sixth consecutive month of month-on-month increase. .


Data shows that in the month, new domestic orders in Germany increased by 2.4% month-on-month, and new foreign orders increased by 3.2% month-on-month; new orders from the euro area rose 0.5% month-on-month, and new orders from outside the euro area rose 4.8% month-on-month.


The Federal Statistical Office also adjusted the month-on-month increase in new German industrial orders in September from the initial value of 0.5% to 1.1%.


The German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy stated in a statement that day that in the past few months, the demand for German industrial products at home and abroad has continued to grow.


In April this year, due to the impact of the epidemic, new orders for German industry fell by 26.2% month-on-month, the largest month-on-month decline since January 1991. In May, German industrial new orders rose by 10.4% month-on-month, reversing the trend of continuous decline since February this year.
