A few days ago, the day shift team in the chemical analysis area of the Inspection Center found that the circulating water EVOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) value of the cracking device was relatively large in the routine analysis of the circulating water of 10 devices in the whole plant. In order to ensure the representativeness of the sample and the accuracy of the data, the analyst notified the process staff to re-sampling and recheck on the spot, but the analysis result was still significantly higher than the normal value, so it was judged that the cracking device had a leak in the heat exchanger.
In order to accurately determine the location of the leak, the inspection center immediately sampled and analyzed the circulating water of the heat exchangers of each device in the first chemical industry. The analysts worked continuously for 24 hours and completed the analysis of the COD project involving 54 heat exchangers in 5 sets of equipment in just two days, and reported more than 60 items of analysis data. Through repeated investigations, the internal leakage heat exchanger was finally locked on the E1225 of the cracking unit.
The cracking plant technicians immediately formulated a plan to repair the internal leakage heat exchanger E1225. During the period, the analysts strengthened the monitoring of the leakage degree of E1225, and analyzed the circulating water at the inlet and outlet of the heat exchanger every day, until the technicians completely eliminated the hidden danger of internal leakage of the E1225 cooler.
In the "Five Checks and Five Strict" special operations to ensure safety, the analysts of the inspection center monitored more than 6000 production data every day, provided early warning of safety risks, and promptly detected and eliminated internal leakage of heat exchangers and hydrogen leakage of propylene machines.
