At around 14:07 on September 28, 2020, Tianmen Chutian Biotechnology Co., Ltd. exploded, causing 6 deaths and 1 minor injury.
According to the report, in accordance with the instructions of the leaders of Hubei Province, the Hubei Provincial Emergency Management Department, the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, the Provincial Public Security Department, and the Provincial Economic Information Department quickly formed an accident investigation team to conduct accident investigations. On the afternoon of September 29, the accident investigation team stationed in Tianmen City, inspected the accident site, and held the first plenary meeting of the accident investigation team.
The accident investigation team used the National Day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday to organize experts and investigators to carry out their work intensively. By investigating the accident site, collecting relevant material evidence, analyzing the accident process, organizing tests and appraisals, and inquiring relevant personnel, the direct cause of the explosion was initially determined. During the filtration test, static electricity ignites hazardous materials that decompose and explode, leading to accidents.
