In the future, the production and sales of new energy vehicles will continue to increase, and the electrolyte solvent market represented by dimethyl carbonate will increase rapidly. At present, propylene glycol and dimethyl carbonate linked production devices are common in domestic factories. They use propylene oxide as the main raw material to produce dimethyl carbonate through the transesterification method and at the same time produce propylene glycol.
In terms of propylene glycol, since August, the overall domestic propylene glycol market has been based on stable consolidation. The ex-factory price of propylene glycol in individual factories in Shandong has risen slightly. At present, most of the downstream propylene glycol continues to be mainly purchased, and large propylene glycol manufacturers in Shandong have newly opened propylene glycol plants. , The current supply on the market is relatively sufficient. As of August 5, the domestic market price of propylene glycol was about 17,425 yuan/ton. Compared with the end of July, there was no significant increase and the rate was about 2.9%.
In terms of upstream propylene oxide, the current market price of propylene oxide is about 17,000 yuan/ton, an increase of about 4% compared with the end of July.
At present, downstream factories still maintain a relatively high enthusiasm for obtaining goods when dimethyl carbonate is at a high level. It is predicted that the domestic dimethyl carbonate market will continue to operate at a high level in the short term.
