Hengli Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hengli Petrochemical") officially signed a contract on February 1 for the annual production of 300,000 tons of PBS biodegradable plastics. So far, Hengli Petrochemical has signed a contract to land 933,000 tons of degradable new materials, and will build the largest and most productive degradable new material production base in China.
Entering 2021, the "plastic restriction order" has been upgraded to a "plastic ban". The country continues to upgrade plastic pollution control measures and efforts, and the market demand for degradable plastics is growing rapidly. Hengli Petrochemical actively responded to this national policy and deployed new biodegradable polyester material projects in advance.
At present, the PBS biodegradable polyester new material project of Kanghui Petrochemical, a subsidiary of Hengli Petrochemical, has been put into production. There is no toxic and hazardous substances added in the production process, and it is more suitable for food-grade applications. Its products have been widely used in Terminal areas such as supermarkets and catering are mainly used to make shopping bags, tableware and straws, replacing traditional plastic products. With excellent performance and capacity scale advantages, market recognition is high, and profitability is strong. At this stage, it has achieved full production and sales.
It is understood that in just ten days, Hengli Petrochemical has signed two major PBS biodegradable plastic projects with an annual output of 600,000 tons and an annual output of 300,000 tons. Both of them use Hengli’s independent research and development process technology and formula, which will greatly ease The domestic supply and demand gap of PBS biodegradable plastics.
