According to the Construction Standards for Chinese Medicine Pavilion of Community Health Service Stations and Village Health Rooms, the Chinese Medicine Pavilion shall have at least one Chinese medicine consultation room and one Chinese medicine treatment room, and shall be able to provide Chinese medicine tablets and more than four types and six items of Chinese medicine appropriate technology services; the number of varieties of Chinese medicine tablets shall not be less than 80, or an agreement on the distribution of Chinese medicine tablets shall be signed with the community health service centers and village health centers, and at least one Chinese medicine doctor shall be provided in the community health service station. Chinese medicine pavilion refers to the integrated Chinese medicine service area in community health service centers and township health centers where the clinical departments of Chinese medicine are concentrated and set up relatively independently. Chinese medicine pavilions refer to the diagnosis and treatment areas within community health service stations and village health centers that carry out Chinese medicine services, and are equipped with health resources such as personnel, facilities and equipment that can provide Chinese medicine services.
The "14th Five-Year Plan" for the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine proposes to encourage places with the conditions to complete the construction of 15% of the TCM pavilions in community health service centers and township health centers, and to carry out the construction of TCM pavilions in 10% of the community health service stations and village health centers. Data from the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine shows that by the end of 2022, more than 40,000 TCM pavilions have been built in China's community health service centers and township health centers. At present, China is taking various measures to promote grass-roots Chinese medicine center "from there to excellent", and further improve the quality of grass-roots Chinese medicine services and service capacity.
