On July 16, the Guangdong Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integration Project-800,000 tons/year styrene plant was successfully started in the Dananhai International Petrochemical Comprehensive Industrial Park in Jieyang City (Huilai), Guangdong Province.
It is understood that the project is one of the important devices in the chemical zone of the Guangdong Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integration Project. At the same time, it is also the world's largest single-line styrene device. The production equipment is divided into ethylbenzene reaction part, ethylbenzene fractionation part, dehydrogenation reaction part, styrene rectification part, and public works part.
According to the person in charge of the project, the device is scheduled to be delivered on May 30, 2022.
Introduction to PetroChina Guangdong Petrochemical Project
The Guangdong Petrochemical Project, located in the Dananhai Petrochemical Industrial Zone in Jieyang (Huilai), Guangdong Province, is a joint venture between China National Petroleum Corporation and Venezuela PDVSA. It is a downstream supporting project for the integration of upstream, middle and downstream cooperation between the two parties. The construction scale of the project is 20 million tons/year oil refining + 2.6 million tons/year aromatics + 1.2 million tons/ethylene, and supporting the construction of a 300,000 tons crude oil terminal and a 3-5 million tons product terminal. The project covers an area of 953 hectares. The estimated investment is RMB 65.4 billion.
The crude oil processed by the project is Venezuelan super-heavy inferior crude oil and Middle Eastern mixed crude oil with the characteristics of high density, high sulfur content, high nitrogen, high residual carbon, high metal, and high acid value.
41 sets of main process equipment, all adopt international advanced processing technology to achieve the goals of energy saving, emission reduction, cleanliness and environmental friendliness. Gasoline, diesel and other products all meet national VI standards, and chemical products mainly adopt patenter standards to meet downstream users and market needs.
The scope of the project includes the integrated refining and chemical plant and off-site engineering. The refining and chemical integration plant area includes process equipment and its supporting oil storage and transportation, public engineering and other facilities. According to functions, it is divided into four areas: process equipment area, storage and transportation area, auxiliary production and public engineering area, and production management area. Off-site projects include crude oil terminals and terminal storage areas, product terminals, crude oil and product transportation pipelines, as well as external power grids, telecommunications, water supply and drainage, highways, railways and other facilities built by the government.
Relying on and surrounding the Guangdong Petrochemical project, it is estimated that the total investment of the 600,000 tons/year ABS project constructed by Jilin Petrochemical and the 6.5 million tons/year LNG project group constructed by Kunlun Energy will exceed 81 billion yuan.
