On December 12, Fujian Kuncai Material Technology Co., Ltd. put into trial production the first 100,000 tons/year titanium dioxide chloride and 100,000 tons/year iron oxide production lines.
This production line adopts extraction method to prepare titanium dioxide chloride. It is a project of Kuncai Technology with independent intellectual property rights and the world's first process certification. It will change the traditional production methods and methods of sulfuric acid and chlorination processes. Significant improvement in safety, environmental protection and quality.
The by-product FeCl₂/FeCl₃ produced in the titanium dioxide preparation process of this production line process can be converted into iron oxide by hot water hydrolysis, and the hydrochloric acid generated can be returned to the main titanium dioxide production line, which avoids the side effects in the sulfuric acid production process. Environmental protection pressure caused by the inability to handle the product ferrous sulfate. The hydrochloric acid method can use ordinary ilmenite as a raw material for production. Compared with the chlorination method, which requires higher raw materials, it has certain advantages in raw material selection. It can realize clean, sustainable, environmentally friendly and safe production, and energy consumption can be greatly reduced.
Kuncai Technology Jiangyin Industrial Park is an important part of Jiangyin New Chemical Materials Zone. It covers an area of 1,158 mu and has a total planned production capacity of 500,000 tons/year of titanium dioxide, 500,000 tons/year of iron oxide and functional titanium dioxide. Among them, the second production line of 100,000 tons/year titanium dioxide and 100,000 tons/year iron oxide will be put into operation after the Spring Festival next year, and all production lines are expected to reach 2022.
