As a dehydration-condensation reagent, it can react at room temperature within a short period, with the reaction product being diisopropylurea. Additionally, DIC can be utilized in the synthesis of peptides and nucleic acids. Using this reagent, peptides can be easily synthesized from compounds containing free carboxyl groups and free amino groups at room temperature. It is widely applied in pharmaceuticals, health products, cosmetics, biological agents, and other organic synthesis fields.
